do you sit right next to them or leave a buffer seat and sit one away? On a couch you never sit right next to another guy, you always leave the middle one, so does this apply to movie theaters as well?

Nah - i see guys to the movies together and they next to one another, remember, there is arm rest and sitting next to a guy doesn't make you gay, (it sounded like that's what you're inclining)

I'm a guy, When I go to a movie with another guy, I sit right next to him, and if we are home watching tv, movie or something we sit right next to each other on the couch, thats because hes my boyfriend. We been together for 5 very happy years...

Gotta leave a "we're not fags"seat in between. This way you don't have to fight over the arm rest and you both have extra cup holders.
You don't need a buffer seat. Sit next to your friend! I think it would look stranger if you didn't.
