We have good seats. Is a skirt and shirt appropriate, or should I wear a dress? How formal is that theater?
What should I wear to see Wicked in Chicago this weekend?
It's not crazy formal, about the same dress code as a Broadway house. But Wicked's one of those shows where the fanbase is so varied that you'll almost definitely see people on all ends of the dress code. I've seen people wear jeans and Wicked shirts to evening performances on Broadway, so I think a skirt and shirt would definitely be okay. Hope you enjoy the show!! :)
