Difficult Math Questions?passions soap opera

2. Tim-25, Mike-55, Dave-40

Difficult Math Questions?mr messed up opera theater

#2... dave has 45, mike has 60, and tim 15 i think
to solve #2. make mike the constant (x). We know dave has 15 less than mike (x-15), and tim has 30 less than mike (x-30). And the total is 120 so your equation is.

x+(x-15)+(x-30)=120 then add like terms

3x-45=120 next add 45 to both sides giving you

3x=165 divide both sides by 3

x=55 now you know how many books mike has because he was (x)

mike (x) has 55

Dave (x-15) has 40

Tim (x-30) has 25

55+40+25=120

#1. not sure on number of possiblities but most eff. would be 4 vans and 2 cars thats 26 people exactly.
